When trying to find leads, customers or people to join your business, the majority of people turn to buying leads. Buying leads to build a large business organization DOES NOT work! Now why would I say that?
First of all, it's a waste of money for any home business entrepreneur, because the ROI is simply not worth the effort and time it takes. You have to call Secondly, most of us will never be able to sponsor enough people with purchased leads to grow a substantial organization before we run out of money. Thirdly, even if we do sponsor people, how many of them will actually have the stomach to do what we have done? Not many!

As often happens I received a call from a guy that wanted to "talk shop" about the network marketing industry. As typically happens, he immediately launched into a high pressure sales pitch to get me to join his network marketing business. I let him go on for a while, then I turned the tables on him and led him through a series of questions.
The first question I always ask this type of person is this: "Are you buying MLM leads?"
Invariably I get the same answer over and over. Yes, I buy 100, 200, or even 500 leads a month - the answer varies per person. However when I ask the next tough question, how many people have you sponsored and how long have you been cold calling these leads, the answer is almost always the same - ZERO!...
...The cold hard fact is that most of us will never be able to sponsor enough people with purchased leads to grow a substantial organization before we run out of money. Even if we do sponsor people, how many of them will actually have the stomach to do what we have done? Not many!
In fact when I first got started I had spent thousands of dollars on leads, hours and hours on the phone and I was scared to death! I had no idea what I would do to help a new associate get started when I finally did sponsor someone. I felt physically sick when I realized that I was leading others down the same dead end path I was on.
You have doomed your MLM business to fail if you are purchasing MLM leads and only calling them one time - with no other way to make money if they don't join your primary business.
If you have never bought leads - don't start! Talk to people who have bought leads to build their home business and you will get many of the same answers, they wasted their money. There are plenty of options available to find people interested in a home based business. You could use free myspace work from home leads or simply buy customers not leads.

Quixtar™ is a quality company that produces products and provides income opportunities to the general public. To have a business opportunity with them would be a good idea providing the company had an exceptional prospecting plan in place. The last thing any new representative needs is ending up with the sole responsibility of building a business through the process of buying Quixtar leads.
People join Quixtar™, or any other MLM or Network Marketing Company, with the hopes and dreams of being able to create an additional income stream. Most individuals that join these companies pour their hearts and souls into their new business. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, they find out that they have to sell the products (become a salesperson) to others and also convince people to join their organization (become a recruiter).
The new Quixtar™ "business person" also finds out that they have to resort to purchasing leads. many of these Quixtar leads have been called many times and don't want to hear from someone else about another MLM opportunity and/or product. The leads that have been purchased are just plain tired of the phone calls, and they have been sold over and over again by the leads companies. Think about it! The sad fact is, these leads have been pretty much picked over, but even if they aren't, you still have to call them and sell them on your business.
Personally, I have called hundreds of leads, and I don't want to call leads anymore...
I don't like calling people and trying to sell them to come into my business. That's why I buy customers and not leads. I refuse to purchase another lead because I don't like calling these people. I have done it and don't like it! I have had people hang up me, curse at me, and I had to listen to people tell me that they wish they could get off the list that is being sold. So, if you are new to Quixtar, and are considering buying leads, the list of leads you are getting are not quality names but names that has a history of being sold over and over again to unsuspecting people who are trying to build a business.
I get business proposals all the time from individuals looking for me to invest in their business, or just to look at their business. Sometimes they are looking for me to give them feedback. With all do respect, what they are really looking for is for me to read their information, or watch their business presentation, and get excited about their business, with the hopes of me joining their organization. That usually DOES NOT work!
WHY?
Most of the opportunities are the same old thing, a MLM or Network Marketing opportunity that they have received from an associate that they want me to evaluate and give them my opinion. The bottom line is they are looking for an investment from me. When I look at them I see the same common thread running through each and every one of them. They are opportunities that require buying massive amounts of leads and lots of phone work. When I see this I stay away, because I like I said before, I don't want to call anyone and try to convince them to join a business that I know will not produce the promises that were made.
NOW THE GOOD NEWS - The one that got my attention!
Although I read the majority of business proposals, it's only out of courtesy. I NEVER recommend a business opportunity, not until I got one that got my attention. This one was different! It had a totally unique business model. It was a Nutraceutical Company that had a whole new approach to the MLM and Network Marketing Industry. I looked at the products and saw that they were powerful and promoted wellness. Although many other opportunities promoted wellness, this company was unique. They promoted Wellness and Wealth simultaneously.
As I kept reading I saw what really triggered my mind, and made me realize that this is a totally different approach. I saw their was no other MLM company that had anything like it. As I did my due-diligence, I could not find anything like this on the Internet, except the company proposed in the plan. What was this unique concept? They promoted buying customers, NOT leads!
Buy Customers not leads...
As I kept reading and learning, I found out that this company has the unique ability to sell direct to the consumer and then once the consumer buys the product they sell the customer to Business Affiliates. I searched the web site and read everything that I could trying to find out if I was missing something, or if my perception of this company was wrong. I never heard about buying customers and so I wasn't sure that I was reading it correctly.
I called several people to verify the information. I talked to a person who had been doing it for a while and he confirmed my findings. I do not have make phone calls to leads who don't want to be called. All I do is purchase the customer from the company and get the commissions.
I keep reading and trying to find the flaws in the system, but none were found. I went to a meeting at http://itsgoodbusiness.net and listened to Tom Prendergast talk about how he has gotten increased results every month for seven years, even though he was not working the business. In other words, his check had gone up every single month since he started, and all he had to do was buy customers.
I thought I have heard it all, but not this time. This is a new innovation to me, even though it has been around for almost ten years. As this catches on, I believe it will drive other MLM or Network Marketing Companies wild because they simply can't compete. I also believe that this is going to pull top producers away from their current MLM companies. I have heard many top producers are already looking at this business model and have plans to leave their existing companies. Why? The majority of network marketers DO NOT like making unnecessary phone calls. With this business model, you can never lose your customers since they are customers and not someone's downline. This makes your business stable and solid.

The biggest challenge to many Quixtar business builders is how do you sell the product and gain a customer and distribution base. This is where the rubber meets the road and most people fall short because they don't have the contacts or the experience to get the job done. So most distributors turn to buying Quixtar leads to build their business, because that is what the top networkers teach.
From the looks of it, it all comes back to finding leads, or people that may be interested in home business. Buying leads is not the best way to go about building a business, because most MLM leads are plain bad. As often happens I received a call from a guy that wanted to "talk shop" about the network marketing industry. As typically happens, he immediately launched into a high pressure sales pitch to get me to join his network marketing business. I let him go on for a while, then I turned the tables on him and led him through a series of questions.
The first question I always ask this type of person is this: "Are you buying MLM leads?"
Invariably I get the same answer over and over. Yes, I buy 100, 200, or even 500 leads a month - the answer varies per person. However when I ask the next tough question, how many people have you sponsored and how long have you been cold calling these leads, the answer is almost always the same - ZERO!...
...The cold hard fact is that most of us will never be able to sponsor enough people with purchased leads to grow a substantial organization before we run out of money. Even if we do sponsor people, how many of them will actually have the stomach to do what we have done? Not many!
In fact when I first got started I had spent thousands of dollars on leads, hours and hours on the phone and I was scared to death! I had no idea what I would do to help a new associate get started when I finally did sponsor someone. I felt physically sick when I realized that I was leading others down the same dead end path I was on.
You have doomed your MLM business to fail if you are purchasing MLM leads and only calling them one time - with no other way to make money if they don't join your primary business.
According to this article, buying leads is just plain bad, and does not work in the long term. You may be thinking, "Is there a better way?" Well there is! And it's buying customers, not leads.
Leads cost about $1.50 to $2.00 depending how many you buy. I have also seen phone surveyed leads cost at or near $5.00. That is way too much money to pay for a lead.

The number of PV points one has, determines the bonus percentage to be paid. This percentage can be anywhere from 3% to 25% of the BV (Business Volume) points.
The number of BV points determines how much commission is paid for a certain bonus level.
Commission paid = (PV percentage) x (number of BV points) - (Downline commissions)
(Downline commissions) = (PV percentage downline) x (number of BV pointsdownline)
Typically, Amway™ core product have more favorable BV and PV per sales dollar since the Amway products do not carry the sales and marketing costs of nationally advertised brand name articles. Brand name articles generally carry less favorable BV/PV/$ ratios. Since Quixtar® can not obtain the brand name articles cheaper than the Wal-Marts and Costcos, they must offer lower total pay outs on these products to have any hope of selling them at a competitive price.

At the 100 PV point level/month, there is the first bonus level of 3% of BV. Assume that the 100PV points had 200 BV points associated with it, then 3% of 200 BV would be paid as a bonus, or $6. You must have at least 100PV flowing through your business each month to get a bonus. Your bonus will be calculated only on the point value for that specific month.
Assume now that you recruit two people to the business, and each also have 100PV points. The combined volume of your business and theirs has 300PV and the combined business volume of 600 BV points. 300PV qualifies for a 6% bonus on "BV". Your gross bonus is then 6% of 600BV points (6% x 600) or $36. Each of your downline recruits is also entitled to a 3% bonus on their 200 points in Business Volume, since they each have 100PV. Each recruit is paid $6 (3% x 200 BV points). This leaves you with a net bonus of $24 ($36 - (2 x $6)). From this net bonus your business expenses will be subtracted to get a net profit or loss.

Typically I don't write about companies that sell leads, but after an associate of mine got an email from Ryan Holland of customleads.net, I had to make my point clear about buying leads.
Whether you buy leads for Arbonne™, Quixtar®, MonaVie™, Send Out Cards™, Big Planet®, Vemma®, or any other MLM company, ALL leads are the same, WORTHLESS. Yes, I said it, buying leads is costly and a waste of your time and money.
I have bought leads in the past, and let me tell you, even though the company claims that the leads are fresh and exclusive to you, they have been sold several, if not hundreds of times. I have never called a lead where I was the first person to contact them. As a matter of fact, I may have been the tenth person to call a so called "Fresh Lead".
Buying Arbonne™, Quixtar®, MonaVie™, Send Out Cards™, Big Planet®, or Vemma® leads will never help you grow your business. If you are determined, and a great telemarketer, you may get some positive results, but for the majority on home based business owners, it will never work.
